Michy Batshuayi has had his loan to Valencia cut short and has been sent back to Stamford bridge, confirmed the La Liga club’s general director Mateu Alemany.
The Chelsea forward was a disappointment in Spain, scoring only twice in 23 matches for the club.
Alemany said: ‘At the moment we are negotiating with several clubs the departure of Michy Batshuayi.
Earlier this week, Valencia boss Marcelino hinted that the 25-year-old had run out of chances, dropping a large hint about the news that would follow: ‘We need signings up front. In some cases our patience has run out,’ he said.
Batshuayi signed for Chelsea from Marseille for £33million back in 2016 but failed to nail down a consistent spot in the first team.
Though it appears he is unlikely to return to Chelsea for the second half of the season, he may join a Premier League side with both West Ham and Crystal Palace interested in a move.
